The field of Logistics Engineering in support of C4ISR systems is undergoing a tremendous change. In this era of decreasing budgets and increasing overseas deployments, DoD is faced with the need to do more with less, and do it better. In addition, the current dynamic environment of constantly improving technology and increasing system complexity demands a systematic Performance Based Logistics (PBL) approach to meet the challenge of developing and supporting affordable C4ISR systems. Log.Sec is a leader in the field of PBL Implementation. Our Engineers and Logisticians work side-by-side with our customers to design both a system and a product support strategy that will optimize the system's performance for the Warfighter. Our goal all the while is to increase the system's readiness, while minimizing its logistics footprint, and reducing its Life Cycle Cost (LCC). From an information technology perspective, directly linked with DoD's dilemma of having to do more with less is the immense, often dispersed, unorganized, and rapidly increasing amount of information that is inundating individuals making decisions at all levels within DoD. The challenge facing DoD is to transform itself into an information-age, networked organization that leverages its intellectual capital to better organize, train, and equip its forces. Complexity, cost, and quality of service are challenging networking issues to CIOs and senior management. The network today is used increasingly as a delivery system for critical business services. In the DoD environment, failure or delay is not an option in providing timely, networking support to our Warfighters. Log.Sec has extensive experience in understanding which enterprise management best practices, products, and tools are cost effective and best suited to meet these challenges. Our experience includes knowing what to expect from products such as Computer Associates' Unicenter tools and how to best utilize them. We are also experienced in managing 24/7 enterprise management systems under Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) Performance Based contractual arrangements with demanding performance metrics. For web-enabled software applications, Log.Sec has a proven track record in developing complex applications by using the latest database tools, application products and technologies, and web-based solutions in designing, integrating, and implementing enterprise-wide application systems using client-server architecture This background is based on extensive experience supporting Classified Customers and managing large IDIQ programs for various Aberdeen tenant agencies including the Army Environmental Center (AEC); Directorate of Information Management (DOIM); Research, Development, and Engineering Command (RDECOM); and Center for Health Promotion and Preventive Medicine (CHPPM). As a proven, experienced company in developing complex applications, Log.Sec uses the latest database tools, application products and technologies, and web-based solutions. We have a number of achievements in designing, integrating, and implementing enterprise-wide application systems using client-server architecture including being selected in 2004 as Borland's Custom Applications Developer of the Year.
